I just realized that Kissing Booth’s last show at the FIDLAR house was the 40th time I’ve ever “formally” played songs in front of people.
To me this is beyond incredible. I care A lot about getting an opportunity to perform in front of people and have saved every last scrap of anything proving that I did. Every flyer, recording, lyric, photo and string pluck I can scrounge sits on my flash drive waiting for me to sheepishly and excitedly demonstrate to someone that was there, I wrote this, played that. Made something. Even more amazing is that only twice have I performed with my own amp. On 38 separate occasions people have asked me to perform and provided me with the means to do so. To commemorate what I have done, various people have also helped me record what this sounds like. Seen here is the ocean of demos and recordings and sessions I have that in total I have paid 30 dollars for. Anus Kings’ stuff was all completely free. I sit in my room and make music to play for people.
I’d really appreciate it if you listened to it.
New AK album is still being worked on. Trust me: I really care about this shit.
